Mother's Day was so much fun! I woke up to my sweet baby girl and hubby! TJ made me a dvd of the first 4 months of Kelsi's life set to music. It is so precious! I was doing ok with watching it until the Martina McBride song "In My Daughter's Eyes" came on. That was the first time I heard the song as a mother, and it had me crying like a baby! TJ said that making me a dvd each mother's day is going to be a tradition. It will be neat to see Kelsi grow on them each year and to see the new additions we make in a few years! We went to church with the family and spent time with Grannie Juanita and Grannie Susie. At church each year they give a special gift to the youngest mother and the oldest mother. This year that was really special. I got the youngest mother at 26, and Grannie Susie got the oldest at 96. She is exactly 70 years older than me, and it has been such a privilege and blessing to have her in our lives for so long. She is an inspiration to so many, a strong southern woman who loves her family. This was also my mom's first mother's day as Grammy so that's special, too. The day was really great. There is nothing in the world like being a mama, what a tremendous blessing our little angel is. It's crazy how much your life can change in the course of a year. This time last year we were trying to get pregnant and had no idea that we were until May 21st, and now we have a sweet 4 month old baby girl. God is so good. I am so thankful for my little family.
We also took Kelsi's 3 month pix the Saturday before Mother's Day with Jennifer Young. I can't wait to see them. We got to take them for about an hour and then Kelsi got tired and passed out! Jennie said she thinks we got some good ones though. She was sweet enough to email TJ one of them to go at the end of the dvd he made me...so precious! I cannot wait to see them. Here are a few!
